I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.
would hear the cry of the afflicted [and avenge them].
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
The LORD preserveth the simple:
The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
The LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

The LORD looseth the prisoners:
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
That he may set him(poor) with princes, even with the princes of his people.
He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children.
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down:
He hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
God turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters. (since Israel was thirsty)
Thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
These (people and animals) wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
(Israel should say) In thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

He has chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom
